November 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are thankful for all our students and your support! The first Trimester ended on October 25 and tremendous success is being seen in the classrooms. We are proud of our students and all their hard work. Parent/Teacher Conference slips were sent out last week and will be Wednesday and Thursday November 2nd and 3rd.  The Honors Assemblies will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022. K-4 will be starting at 10:30am and 5th-8th grade will start at 2:00pm.

It has been a great month in the After School Programs. Our Gardening Club has been busy growing vegetables; the Cooking Club has made some tasty treats; while our Outdoor Games Club has learned many new games and participated in teambuilding techniques. Volleyball athletes wrapped up their season on October 28 in the league tournament. We are very proud of all our players and thankful for Coach Gross and her volunteer Mrs. Cheyne.

Thank you to those who tuned into the Anti-Bully/Technology Family Night. The Anti-Bully Representatives presented what to do if you see someone being bullied and how to stand up for yourself. The presentation also included links to fun online games. The links can be found on the ClassDojo and the school’s website under the Students tab.

Congratulations to the Health Council for their efforts on the Halloween Gram fundraiser, the fundraiser will end on Wednesday, November 22nd. On November 9th, Student Council will be facilitating the Cougar Buck Store. A friendly reminder that Thursday, November 10th is NO SCHOOL as we observe Veterans Day. Mrs. Jimenez will be serving up her delicious Thanksgiving Meal on November 17, 2022. Watch, in the upcoming weeks, for the sign-up sheet to reserve your meal.

We are excited to announce that we have a group of parents that are looking to start up a new PTA. If you would like to join in their efforts in supporting our students further, please call the front office for more information.
