August 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Thank you for making the start of the school year a success for your child(ren). Because we are in the business of education, we encourage all parents to support their child(ren)’s learning. This can be done by making sure children are present for school every day and by providing a time and place for every child to read or study at home. We ask that parents be diligent in monitoring your child’s health to help keep the school open for learning. A reminder to contact the teacher and/or school if your child cannot make daily attendance. In addition, a healthy breakfast helps start the day with energy. The school offers breakfast and lunch to students.

This monthly newsletter includes some important information. Attached are the updated bus schedule that starts on Monday, August 1, and the August food calendar. Also, some great reading ideas to help support your child and a tentative Family Outreach Calendar (dates may change).

Open House was held on Wednesday, July 27. Thank you to all who could attend. It is wonderful to have families on-site and to see children sharing what is happening at school.

The August through December After School Activities/Clubs sign-up sheet went home today, July 28. It is wonderful to see students engaged in the programs after school. Any questions, please contact the school.
